COVID-19 Update: 5/1/20
To our Patients:
We hope this correspondence finds you and yours in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past weeks, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.
If you have a dental emergency that you feel needs attention before we officially reopen, call Dr Wojtkun at 978-265-6571, or Dr Sendek at 781-820-7524 and they will arrange for you to be treated.
While many things have changed, or commitment to safety has not. Infection control has always been a priority in our practice as you may have observed during your visits. Our infection control processes as in place so that when you receive care it is both safe and comfortable.
We follow the infection control recommendations and guidelines of the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Our policies are current and our staff is trained annually in strict compliance with these agencies.
Following the current state guidelines, we are planning to reopen on Monday May 18th for all dental care. We have formulated strategies for the “new normal” dental visit during the current circumstances by following guidance from the American Dental Association.
You will see the following changes when scheduling, confirming and arriving for an appointment:
• Our office will communicate with you directly beforehand to ask some screening questions about your health. You’ll be asked the same questions again when you arrive for an appointment, and will also have a “no touch “digital temperature taken.
• You will be asked to call us when arriving in the office parking lot for a scheduled appointment and remain in your car until we call you in when the clinical staff is ready.
• Vinyl gloves will be available in the reception area. These provide protection when using our forms tablet, the credit card terminal, when completing the required screening questionnaire, or touching any surfaces in the office.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing in between patients. This might mean you may be offered fewer options or appointment times going forward for a while. We will do our best to allow for greater time in between patients to reduce waiting times, as well as reduce the number of patients in the reception areas.
This is a new experience for all of us and we will do our best to resume operations smoothly. If you have questions, do not hesitate to call us. Beginning Monday May4th, our phone lines will be staffed live from 10AM-3PM Monday through Thursday until we reopen for business on the 18th.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation in this group effort.
